how i became an Event Artist

Growing up in Camden, South Carolina I found myself captivated with the atmosphere of fields and ponds – the rays of light swaying on blades of grass and dancing along the ripples of water.  It is there in the fields that I learned to draw and paint, paying close attention to the shades and casting of light, through the seasons. The presence and absence of light forces the captive’s eye here and there about the painting, thereby creating an atmosphere wrought with nuanced colors and dimensions but focused on the ever-endearing spotlight – whatever the chosen article. Ultimately, I would categorize my painting as exemplifying a lively, modern impressionistic style.

As a Live Wedding Painter, I can co-create the atmosphere of others’ special moments.  A world of colors, movements, objects, and people are created on the canvas in front of gazing, watchful eyes.  The excitement of the room or outdoor space energizes my creativity and brush.  Hence, the art piece is a balanced conglomeration of realism and emotionalism contained in one single frame.

What Is Event Art?

Live Event Art is an entertainment style of painting where an artist sets up their easel, canvas and brushes to paint the event unfolding in front of them. I paint at weddings, concerts, parties, graduations, Christenings/Baptisms and anywhere else that might host a special life moment for someone. Not only does the artist add a unique form of entertainment at your event, as the guests get to watch the scene take shape on the canvas, but the finished painting is a wonderful memento from that memorable day. Live Event Art captures the monumental moment like no other art form can – incorporating the finest details of the atmosphere into the art piece.
